February favorites

Throughout the last month I've been testing out some products I've never tried before and some of them are incredibly good!

The product I've been loving the most lately is without any doubt the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner from The Body Shop (€ 9,00). My skin has been a bit on the drier side lately and this alcohol-free toner is doing wonders! It deeply hydrates my skin but, at the same time, it's lightweight and it absorbs very quickly. My complexion is brighter after I use it and I can definitely feel it bringing the moisture back to my skin. It also has anti-aging properties, which is always good!

Another product I'm very happy I've bought is the Clinique Chubby Stick Intense in the shade "01 Curviest Caramel" (€ 18,00), a beautiful worm-toned peachy brown shade with a luminous creamy finish. The color payoff is quite buildable, it can go from very sheer to quite intense, and it lasts pretty long without drying out the lips. It's the perfect daytime lip color and I think I might prefer this one to my beloved Chubby Stick in the shade Whole Lotta Honey, which is a bit darker and less natural. 

The last two products I want to talk about are both from Lush. The first is a body lotion called Vanilla Dee-Lite (€ 19,95). First of all, I love the smell. Lush products have the most amazing smells in the entire world! This lotion smells like vanilla and kiwi, which is a weird combination, I know, but, trust me, is oh so good! I like the fact that it's very light but still effective; it would be great as a summer body moisturizer! It leaves my skin super soft and it contains vitamins and minerals (from kiwis) which help improving skin condition. Lovely!

The other Lush product is a colour essential (€ 15,50) from their make up line, which is basically a sort of foundation that can also become a BB cream if mixed with a moisturizer. The shade I've bought is Light Pink, which is very unusual for me because I have a yellow skin tone and foundations with a pink undertone usually look horrible on me. This one, however kind of adapts to my skin color so that the final result is very natural. I'm really impressed by this product, it's very versatile and can be used in lots of different ways. What I like to do is to apply a light layer with a buffing brush, in order to slightly even out my complexion, but, at the same time maintaining a very natural look. However, with a couple of layers it can easily achieve a quite good coverage. I like to set it with a powder on my t-zone, where I tend to get oily, and I find that, in that way, it lasts without problems all day. Not bad!

Nel corso dell'ultimo mese ho iniziato ad aggiungere alla mia collezioni di prodotti di bellezza alcuni prodotti che non avevo mai provato prima e, con mia grande gioia, alcuni di questi sono davvero ottimi!

Il prodotto che ho amato maggiormente nell'ultimo periodo è senza dubbio il tonico idratante alla vitamine E di The Body Shop (€ 9,00). Recentemente la mia pelle ha iniziato a diventare leggermente secca e questo tonico privo di alcol si sta comportando meravigliosamente. Idrata a fondo ma, allo stesso tempo, è molto leggero e si assorbe istantaneamente, lasciando la mia pelle morbida e luminosa. In più, la vitamina E svolge un'efficace azione anti età, cosa che non gusta mai!

Un altro prodotto che sono davvero felice di aver acquistato è il Chubby Stick Intense di Clinique nella tonalità "01 Curviest Caramel" (€ 18,00), un bellissimo marrone-pesca con sottotono caldo, dal finish cremoso e luminoso. L'intensità di colore è abbastanza modulabile, con una sola passata si ottiene un effetto molto delicato, mentre con un paio di passate diventa decisamente più evidente. Inoltre ha una buonissima tenuta e non secca le labbra. Trovo che sia perfetto da indossare tutti i giorni e credo addirittura di preferirlo al mio adorato Chubby Stick nella tonalità "Whole Lotta Honey", che è leggermente più scuro e, quindi, meno naturale. 

Gli ultimi 2 prodotti di cui voglio parlarvi sono entrambi di Lush. Il primo è una crema per il corpo chiamata "Dulcis in Fundo" (€ 19,95). Innanzitutto, adoro il suo profumo! I prodotti di Lush hanno sempre dei profumi meravigliosi! Questa crema, nello specifico, sa di vaniglia e kiwi...so che può sembrare un combinazione un po' azzardata, ma, fidatevi, funziona! Inoltre, apprezzo il fatto che sia molto leggera ma non per questo meno efficace. Credo che possa essere l'idratante corpo perfetto per la stagiona estiva, si assorbe rapidamente e lascia la pelle morbidissima. Infine, contiene olio di tamanù di Tahiti, molto apprezzato per le sue proprietà lenitive, cicatrizzanti ed antiossidanti. Adorabile!

L'altro prodotto di Lush è un dei pigmenti concentrati (€ 15,50) della loro linea di make up. In sostanza è l'equivalente di un fondotinta, che può facilmente diventare una BB cream se mescolato con una crema idratante. La tonalità che ho acquistato è Rosa Chiaro, il che è abbastanza anomalo poiché la mia carnagione ha un sottotono giallo e, di solito, i fondotinta con sottotono rosato mi stanno malissimo. Questo, tuttavia, in qualche modo si adatta al mio colore di pelle, per cui l'effetto finale resta davvero naturale. Devo dire che sono piacevolmente colpita da questo prodotto e dalla sua versatilità. Personalmente, quello che preferisco fare è applicarne un sottile strato con un pennello per sfumare il fondotinta, così da uniformare leggermente l'incarnato, mantenendo, però, un effetto naturale. Tuttavia, aggiungendo un secondo strato si ottiene facilmente un coprenza davvero notevole. Avendo la pelle mista, sento la necessità di fissarlo con un po' di cipria sulla zona T, dove tendo a lucidarmi, e in questo modo trovo che duri senza problemi per tutto il giorno. Non c'è male!
